In what turned out to be an endurance test for television equipment as well as 15 teams from around the world, Arctic Circle Race 2000 proved to be one of the most extreme on record.

Dubbed the worldís toughest cross country skiing contest, competitors and camera crews in this year's Arctic Circle Race 2000 event found themselves battling unusually severe wind and cold conditions. Covering the event for Greenlandís Sisimut TV was an ENG team lead by Hans Ole Storch, seen here capturing the action in blistering cold conditions with his Miller DS25 system. Sisimut TV recently kitted out all its ENG crews with Miller DS25 camera support systems.

According to Hans, Miller was chosen because of its excellent performance under very cold conditions. According to Svend Holmberg from Miller's Greenland Distributor, Holmberg Consult, the Miller systems were the only left standing, with tripods and fluid heads from well-known European manufacturers not being able to hold specification and stand up to the extreme conditions that the Miller support gear revelled in.
