Steven Howard named as Global Product Manager

Miller Camera Support is pleased to announce that it has named Steven Howard as product manager for Miller’s global offerings.</p>

In his new role, Howard will manage the product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, as well as analyze new markets and competitive conditions by laying out a product vision for Miller. Additionally, Howard will conduct market research to identify customer needs and plan new product development with Miller’s engineering, design, sales and marketing teams.</p>

My RØDE Reel” returns for its fourth year in 2017

Miller Camera Support is very excited to once again be a key sponsor. With close to 8,000 video submissions from 89 countries, “My RØDE Reel” has not only become the world’s largest short film competition, but has also established itself as a staple amongst the global filmmaking community. Miller will be supplying prizes for the competition, which includes three Miller DS20 Solo CF Tripod Systems and three AIR Alloy Tripod Systems.

Miller in collaboration with the Ronford Baker Engineering Company, known for its work with heavy-duty fluid heads and tripods in the cinema industry, announces the Skyline 90 Fluid Head, making its debut at NAB 2017 (Booth C7920). Designed to meet the stringent and rigorous standards presented by challenging environments and condition of Outside Broadcast (OB), the Skyline 90 supports payloads of up to 165 lbs. (75 kg.) and features robust, heavy duty construction.

26th Annual FLiCKERFEST International and Australian Awards. At this year’s ACADEMY AWARD®-accredited competition, held annually in Sydney, Australia, Miller Camera Support presented the award and a Miller AIR Alloy Tripod System to the filmmakers of “In a Cane Field,” commending exceptional achievement and skill in short film.

Miller Goes Off-Road with Gavin Rawlings

Gavin Rawlings, director of photography and co-owner of Venture Films, used Miller Tripods, to produce off-road travel programs, most recently season two of “LowRange,” an Australian-based reality program that follows a team of adventurers as they explore the nearly two-and-a-half-million acres of the Australian Outback. In filming his Outback adventures, Rawlings relies on the Miller Compass 25 Solo 100 3-stage Carbon Fibre System to support his Sony PMWF55 CineAlta 4K PMW Series HD Camcorder and a Sony PXWX70 XDCAM XAVC HD422 hand-held camcorder.
