Originally hailing from Northern Minnesota, Kate and Adam fell in love with the stunning landscapes of the American West during their honeymoon road trip to Yellowstone. That life-changing trip ignited a dream, and they bravely left behind friends and family to pursue it. What began as weekend treks from Salt Lake City to Yellowstone quickly escalated into a full-time adventure. After countless hours of sweat and determination, they built their own camper van, sold everything they owned, and embraced life on the road—all to follow their hearts and cameras wherever nature called. Their journey hit new heights when Adam made the bold move to leave his aerospace career, enabling them to dive into photography full-time. They launched a successful photography tour business, sharing their knowledge and experiences with fellow nature enthusiasts. Their summers are now spent guiding intimate brown bear photography tours in Alaska, and when they’re not in the wild, they’re proudly curating their art gallery in the heart of Anchorage, Alaska.But their impact extends beyond photography. Deeply committed to conservation, they co-founded For The Love Of Bears, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting wild bears and the ecosystems they inhabit. Their work highlights the importance of ethical wildlife photography, ensuring animals are never baited or disturbed for a shot. Kate and Adam’s exceptional dedication has been celebrated worldwide, including receiving Highly Commended honors in the 2022 Natural History Museum Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.
